"Your private Facebook account has been disabled" is what I received on my monitor March 11, 2014 at 12:30 pm. No warning. I was in the middle of working and my page was slammed by Facebook.
They forced me to email them a copy of my driver's license then had the audacity to inform me that they were making the change to my page by using my real name. Well, that was a disaster which I later made clear to them in a second email that has yet to be answered.
I know who was behind it and what was behind it. All I can say is karma is a bitch.
I lost over 5K fans, family and friends through out my fan pages and personal pages. Just like that. Years of work, pictures, messages, links down the drain.
Facebook calls themselves a social network, yet they clearly don't operate like one, instead they "police" pages, gain access to your very soul by sucking the life out of you and your private information, even though they claim to want to protect it. I can only imagine how many of our accounts they have sold to the marketing companies.
In fact, they are in violation of our privacy rights by dictating what we should and shouldn't do and how we operate our business or fun pages. How many of us are in the entertainment business, Marketing business, Publicist, are Authors, Publishers, Agents and don't wish to use or legal names? Three fourths of Facebook are in those industries.
If Facebook indeed went in and policed all those pages it would be a sorry day for them in financial ruin if they disabled each and every one of them.
FYI Facebook, we are privy to our privacy rights, therefore you are discriminating and violating them.
It might be prudent if you take a long look at your set of rules and get out of the socialist world if you want to continue. Otherwise this woman will say Bon voyage and work her way into other more suitable networks.
